We're Gamers, Just Like You

Octohost was born out of frustration with overpriced, under-powered shared hosting. We built the service we always wanted — private VPS servers, no nonsense, prices that make sense.

Built by Gamers, for Gamers

It started with a simple question: why does running a Minecraft server for a few friends cost $20 a month on shared infrastructure that can barely handle the load? We spent years hosting on other platforms, and we kept hitting the same wall — sluggish servers, hidden add-ons, and support that took days to respond.

In late 2017, we stopped complaining and started building. Octohost launched in January 2018 with a single promise: every server gets its own isolated VPS, a dedicated IP, real SSD storage, and pricing that doesn't require a spreadsheet to understand.

Today we serve thousands of gamers across the US and Europe, and we're just getting started. The games in our library keep growing, and so do the features — but the philosophy never changes: private, fast, and fair.

Our Core Values

Every decision at Octohost flows from four simple principles.

Performance First

We run pure SSD storage, never spinning disks. Every server is isolated — your neighbours can't steal your RAM or CPU cycles.

Honest Pricing

No hidden fees, no tiers that gate features, no add-ons you have to buy to actually use the service. The price you see is the price you pay.

Security by Default

DDoS mitigation is included on every plan. Your game server IP is protected automatically — no extra configuration required.

Real Human Support

When something goes wrong, you talk to someone who plays games and understands your problem — not a bot reading from a script.
